TAG Video Systems and Gencom Technology’s new collaboration aims to help clients gain real-time visibility into their operations, simplify IP workflows and improve service quality.

TAG Gencom By exception

TAG Video Systems, a monitoring and analytics software developer, and media technology provider Gencom Technology have launched a new collaboration. By combining TAG’s Realtime Media Platform with Gencom’s regional expertise in New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands, the partnership aims to enhance visibility, operational agility and control across modern media workflows in new markets.

While broadcasters face increasing competition, TAG and Gencom see adoption of IP-based workflows as one of the best ways to gain efficiency, maintain uninterrupted service and adapt quickly to changing demands from customers.

As the industry accelerates its shift toward IP, TAG’s all-software platform addresses associated challenges. Media organisations can use its tools to probe, monitor and analyse processes along the media pipeline – from ingest to delivery – from inside a single unified interface.

The TAG platform probes at each critical point and tightly integrates media monitoring with open source data visualisation software, DevOps tools and AI / ML to give useful insights into the performance of media operations.

The platform’s Multi Channel Monitoring and visualisation processing engine performs in real-time and includes content decryption and probing functions. Its features include smart recording, alarms and penalty box to make sure content is interoperable and complies with industry standards.

The management and control layer of the TAG platform, the Media Control System, is the user’s point of configuration, control and API access to the complete monitoring operation. This system also aggregates data across all monitored workflows for combined visualisation.

For major broadcasters and service providers in the region that are already undertaking IP transformation projects, the goal of the collaboration is for clients to gain real time visibility into their operations, simplify IP workflows and improve service quality so they can respond more quickly to change and scale with confidence as the industry continues to evolve.

As a provider of integrated technology and professional services for the media industry, Gencom’s engineers handle projects and challenges in video production, media management, channel origination, RF transmission, internet delivery and the core IT infrastructure that underlies all of these processes.

“Our clients need more than just monitoring – they need actionable insights, confidence in their operations, and responsive local support,” said Keith Bremner, Director at Gencom Technology. “By combining TAG’s technology with Gencom’s engineering and service capabilities, we’re helping broadcasters enhance reliability and simplify their operations.”

“Oceania’s media sector is moving quickly toward IP and hybrid architectures,” said Paul Maroni, VP Sales APAC at TAG Video Systems. “Gencom’s deep regional expertise makes them the ideal partner to help broadcasters future-proof their operations with TAG’s powerful and flexible platform.” tagvs.com
